    Insurance & ALE Claims

What is ALE, and does my homeowners insurance cover temporary RV housing?

Additional Living Expense (ALE) is the part of your homeowners policy that pays for temporary housing when your home is uninhabitable due to a covered loss — fire, flood, storm damage, or similar. Most ALE policies will cover a temporary RV rental, including the unit, delivery, and utility hookups. Your adjuster can confirm in minutes. We've worked with every major carrier and know what each requires.

Which insurance companies do you work with?

We work with most major carriers and typically bill insurance directly, subject to policy approval and limits. If your homeowners policy includes ALE / Loss of Use coverage and your claim is active, call us with your claim and adjuster info and we'll confirm the path for your specific carrier.

Do I pay anything out of pocket?

Often no, but it depends on your policy, claim status, and adjuster approval. When your claim is approved for ALE, we typically bill your insurance carrier directly. If there's a coverage limit on your policy, we'll flag it upfront so there are no surprises.

How fast can my adjuster approve an Agile RV rental?

Most approvals happen within 24–48 hours once your claim is open. We move fast on our end and can send your adjuster a full quote, photos of the specific unit, and the standard billing paperwork the same day you call us. If you're working with an adjuster who hasn't placed ALE housing before, we'll walk them through it.

What if my claim hasn't been approved yet, but I need somewhere to live now?

We can deploy a unit under an "approval pending" agreement in emergency situations — especially for fire, flood, and storm displacement where waiting isn't realistic. Call our 24/7 line at (614) 655-4286 and we'll discuss options. We've been doing this long enough to know when a claim is solid and when it's worth the risk to move first.

Is the RV a "like for like" replacement under my policy?

In almost every policy we've seen, yes. ALE is designed to cover reasonable temporary housing comparable to your actual living situation. For a family of four staying on their own property during repairs, a full-sized RV with a real kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom is more comparable to home than a hotel room. Adjusters like that it often costs less than a hotel AND keeps the family on-site to supervise repairs.

What paperwork do I need before you can deliver?

Three things: your claim number, your adjuster's contact info, and a signed ALE authorization (we send the template). That's usually all the paperwork your side needs. We handle the rest.

What happens if my home repair takes longer than expected?

Extensions are easy. We'll rebill your carrier for the extended period, and if your ALE coverage limit is close to being hit, we'll flag that early so you and your adjuster can adjust. Many of our stays run 90–180 days; some go a full year.

    Delivery & Setup

How fast can you deliver an RV to my property?

Typically within 24–72 hours of approval, anywhere in the lower 48 states. Emergency deployments (same-day or next-day) are possible in most regions — call our 24/7 line.

What do I need to do before delivery?

Not much. You'll need a reasonably flat spot on your property that's about 12 feet wide by 45 feet long, with either existing utility hookups or room for us to run temporary power and water. We'll do a short property assessment (usually by phone with you sending a few photos) and confirm the setup is straightforward before we dispatch.

Who handles the utility hookups — power, water, sewer?

We do. Our delivery team levels the unit, connects power (either to an existing 30/50-amp outlet or a portable generator), connects to a hose bib for water, and either ties to your septic/sewer line or uses a holding tank with scheduled pump-outs. You don't lift a finger.

    Do I need a permit?

Most of the time, no — a temporary RV on a private residential property is generally allowed without a permit for stays tied to an active insurance claim or home repair. Rules vary by city and county, though. We've handled thousands of deployments and know the local rules in most jurisdictions. If a permit is required, we'll let you know and help navigate it.

What if my driveway is too narrow or my property is hard to access?

We deliver to rural, remote, and tight-access properties routinely. Our team drives everything from 30-foot travel trailers to 45-foot fifth wheels, and we have units in a range of sizes specifically for tough-access properties. Send us a photo or the property address and we'll tell you exactly which unit will fit.

    Living in an Agile RV

    What's included in the RV?

Every unit comes with a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, full-size fridge), a bathroom with a real shower, at least one queen bed plus additional sleeping for the family, HVAC (AC and heat), TV, and all kitchenware, linens, and towels. You arrive with your suitcase, we handle the rest.

    Are your RVs pet-friendly?

Yes. Pets stay with the family at no extra charge. All our units are cleared for dogs and cats. Tell us how many and we'll make sure the unit is the right fit.

How many people can each unit sleep?

We carry units that sleep 2 to 8+ people. Smaller 30-foot couples' units, mid-size family units with a main bedroom and a bunkhouse, and larger 42–45 foot units with separate bedrooms, bunk beds, and a loft for bigger families.

    Is there Wi-Fi?

Every unit ships with a 4G/5G mobile hotspot and unlimited data by default. Streaming, schoolwork, remote work — all covered.

What if something breaks during my stay?

Call our 24/7 support line. Minor issues (AC not cooling right, a leaky fixture) we'll talk you through. Anything bigger, we dispatch a tech — and if the unit can't be repaired quickly, we swap the whole RV so you never go without.

    Pricing & Length of Stay

    How is pricing calculated?

Daily, weekly, or monthly rates based on the unit size and length of stay. Longer stays cost significantly less per day — a 6-month insurance claim stay is a fraction of the daily rate of a 2-week stay. Get a free quote for exact numbers.

    What's the minimum rental period?

30 days. We're built for temporary-housing stays, not weekend rentals.

What's the longest I can stay?

365+ days is routine. We have customers on year-long construction projects and multi-year workforce housing contracts. There's no maximum.

    Are there hidden fees?

No. Delivery, setup, utility hookups, Wi-Fi, and 24/7 support are all included in your quote. The only add-ons are if you ask for something extra — a pump-out schedule for sewer holding tanks, a second unit, an extended service plan. Everything is itemized upfront.

    Workforce & Business Projects

Can I rent multiple units for a crew?

Yes. We regularly deploy 5, 10, 25, or more units to a single job site — pipeline, energy, disaster recovery, construction, and remote work camps. Volume pricing and a dedicated account manager are standard for any multi-unit project.

Can you invoice my company directly?

Yes. Net-30 terms available for qualified businesses. We handle W-9s, COIs, master service agreements, and any procurement paperwork your team needs.

Do you support FEMA and state emergency management contracts?

Yes. We maintain the registrations and capabilities required for government disaster-response deployments. If you're a state or municipal emergency manager, call our government contracts line at (614) 655-4286 for immediate capability confirmation.

    Didn't see your question?

Call our 24/7 line. Real people answer — usually someone who's personally placed hundreds of temporary housing units.
